Glen Ridge Mayor & Council Approve Budget Resolutions and Certify Annual Audit
At the recent meeting of the Glen Ridge Mayor and Council, several resolutions related to finance, administration, and annual audit were discussed and unanimously approved.
The Mayor's Office presented a resolution approving claims totaling $120,593 from various funds with warrants being drawn for these expenses. A second motion was made by Councilor David Lefkovits (Leitz), which was supported by Councilor Steve Zimet (Ziming).
Next, the council approved Resolution 111-26, approving a corrective action plan addressing minor operational issues identified in the 2025 municipal audit. The resolution highlighted small problems in procedures for purchases and animal control, dog licensing.
Resolution 112-26 was passed by unanimous consent. It certified the annual audit as duly performed and reviewed.
No further discussion or votes were required on these resolutions. Notably, Councilor Steve Zimet praised the clean audit conducted by Borough Administrator Michael Defrino (Mike) and Deputy Municipal Clerk Denise Iandolo.
