In a short adjourned meeting held with only four councilors present (Morrow, Hughes, Law, and Meyer; Lefkovits and Mans absent), the council passed a series of unanimous commendation resolutions for outgoing volunteers. Lynne Vande Stowe and In Koo Kim were honored for their service on the Historic Preservation Commission, and Linda Seyffarth was recognized for her work on the Library Board.

The most detailed tribute went to Daniel McMahon, a Historic Preservation Commission member for 22 years who was appointed by then-Mayor Steve Plate in 2000. The resolution noted McMahon attended roughly 260 monthly meetings and contributed close to 1,000 volunteer hours reviewing applications during a period when the borough's Historic District grew to cover approximately 90% of Glen Ridge, including two district expansions. The council also passed an in memoriam resolution honoring Larry Stauffer for his service on the Shade Tree Commission. All resolutions passed unanimously among the councilors present.

With no further business, the council voted to adjourn sine die and reconvene immediately for the borough's swearing-in ceremony.
