Planning Board Unanimously Adopts 4th Round Fair Share Housing Plan Ahead of June 30 Deadline

Glen Ridge's Planning Board held a public hearing on June 16, 2025 to adopt the Borough's 4th Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan (HEFSP), a state-mandated affordable housing plan due by June 30th. Borough Planner Graham Petto answered Board questions about the plan's data tables, and Secretary Erik DeLine outlined what documentation the Borough must submit to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. Members agreed the Board's adoption resolution would reference the plan as hosted on the Borough's website rather than attaching it directly.

Mayor Mans said the HEFSP adoption was an opportunity to take a holistic look at the community and identify appropriate ways to provide affordable, life-cycle housing. No members of the public spoke during the hearing, and the Board voted unanimously to adopt the resolution approving the plan.
