Board of Adjustment Approves Vinyl Fence for Marc and Polly Murphy at 20 Hillcrest Road

At its October 8, 2020 meeting, Glen Ridge's Board of Adjustment adopted a resolution of approval for a previously heard application at 431 Ridgewood Avenue, then turned to the only new application on the agenda: Marc and Polly Murphy's request at 20 Hillcrest Road. The Murphys had settled on a simulated wood vinyl fence, and briefly discussed with the board whether the fence's proximity to Glen Ridge High School raised a risk of vandalism; they noted the fence would sit back from the school in a wooded area and did not consider it much of a concern.

No members of the public spoke on the application, and the board voted unanimously to approve it. The board also adopted its March 12, 2020 minutes, with member Scott abstaining, and adjourned with no further business.
