Mayor Patrick proclaimed September 10, 2023 "Glen Ridge Eagle Scout Day," honoring three Troop 855 scouts for reaching Eagle rank: Andrew Fong, who raised awareness of invasive tree species and helped replace five trees lost to Emerald Ash Borer at Freeman Gardens; Jacob Chang, who created a scout-led walking tour of historically significant Glen Ridge homes with the Historical Society, complete with signage and a Google Maps overlay; and Anwell Meng, who restored a long-unused koi pond at Freeman Gardens. The council also proclaimed June 3, 2023 National Gun Violence Awareness Day and May 15–21 National Police Week.

Council awarded a three-year elevator inspection services contract, effective July 1, 2023, to Municipal Inspection Corporation of Bayonne, which submitted the lowest responsible proposal (95% of the DCA fee schedule plus a 30% administrative fee).

Council gave final adoption to Ordinance No. 1784, setting 2023 non-union employee and management salaries, and first reading to Ordinance No. 1785, authorizing bonds for a borough-wide water meter replacement project. Councilor Lefkovits noted that Library Board Trustee Carol Harpster had received the New Jersey Library Association's Trustee Recognition Award.

All votes passed unanimously among the five councilors present; Hughes was absent for the entire meeting.
