Glen Ridge's Planning Board opened 2022 with its January 19 reorganization meeting, welcoming new member Ms. Bojsza and reappointing Mr. Mason as Chair and Mr. Mehrotra as Vice Chair. The Board confirmed its committee and staff appointments, adopted its by-laws unanimously, and set its 2022 meeting schedule running from February 16, 2022 through January 18, 2023.

The Board then approved Application 22-01, a minor subdivision at 412 Ridgewood Avenue for owners Richard and Virginia Moriarty. Represented by attorney Gregory Mascera, the Moriartys sought to convey the western portion of their property to the owners of 235 and 237 Sherman Avenue, bringing 235 Sherman into full zoning compliance and 237 Sherman closer to compliance, while also bringing non-compliant rear-yard garages on both properties into compliance with accessory-structure setbacks. Ms. Moriarty testified the subdivision would formalize a longstanding informal agreement with neighbors ahead of a planned sale of her property. The application required no variances and was approved unanimously. No members of the public spoke. The Board's adoption of its June 16, 2021 minutes drew abstentions from Ms. Fields, Mr. Hegarty, and Ms. Bojsza.
