With only five of the commission's nine seats filled (Vice Chair Githens, Schackner, Wright, and Kopec were all absent), the Historic Preservation Commission moved through eleven applications on June 1, approving every one unanimously with no public comment. The largest items were a second-floor master suite addition at 64 Adams Place (Ray and Pat Preblick), a rear addition at 412 Ridgewood Avenue (Richard and Virginia Moriarty), and a scaled-down pergola at 590 Ridgewood Avenue (Jeff Mensch) that the commission had sent back for revisions the previous month.

Other approvals included a chimney removal at 36 Edgewood Road (Jorge Alphonso), window changes at 4 Tuxedo Road (Christine and Robert Gorzelany) and 7 Hamilton Road (Nicholas and Darcy Eveleigh), a kitchen-related window replacement at 27 Douglas Road (Aaron Regush and Jessica Seigel), a front vestibule-to-porch conversion at 33 Snowden Place (Julie Coe and Paul Brown), and new decks at 21 Astor Place (Megan and Richard Labot), 34 Madison Street (Michael Faxon), and 80 Willow Street (Ilsoon Yang).
