The Borough Council finally adopted two ordinances without any public comment: Ordinance 1748, setting non-union employee titles and 2021 maximum salaries, and Ordinance 1749, formally establishing the Environmental Advisory Committee. Both were adopted unanimously with all six councilors present. Council also accepted a $57,064 State of New Jersey Body Worn Camera Grant for the Police Department, covering the award period through 2025 with no local matching funds required.

Council granted a 100% property tax exemption to disabled veteran Joseph Tschudy of 79 Glen Ridge Avenue, totaling $4,322.81 for 2021 and $1,726.72 for 2020, based on a VA certification of total, permanent, service-connected disability. It also set an estimated third-quarter 2021 tax levy of $55,402,322.62 at a $3.237 rate, standard practice while the certified tax rate was still pending.

The council approved two construction change orders: an additional $40,436.93 (bringing the total to $117,216.93) to T. Slack Environmental Services for the municipal building fuel pump replacement, after deteriorated underground conduit was discovered mid-project; and an additional $57,628 (bringing the total to $382,538) to Alden-Baily Restoration Corp. for the Glen Ridge Train Station renovation, to cover added exterior work required by NJ Transit. Council also authorized grant applications to NJDOT's 2022 Municipal Aid Program for two road projects: Glen Ridge Avenue/Sherman Avenue/Argyle Street improvements and Roswell Terrace/Innes Place improvements. All votes on the evening's agenda passed unanimously, 6-0.
