In a brief special Zoom meeting, the Library Board of Trustees unanimously approved migrating the library's Wi-Fi service from Verizon to BCCLS at a cost of $1,779, funded from the Operating Budget. Trustee Geoffrey Darby was absent and did not vote. The move was accelerated after a firewall issue during a planned PSE&G electricity outage exposed problems with the existing Verizon setup.

The Director's cost analysis found the switch would add roughly $458 in year-one expenses — mainly for a possible sixth Wi-Fi access point in the meeting room — but produce an estimated $5,800 in combined savings over years two and three, along with improved bandwidth for patrons and a reduced service burden on library staff.

No other new business was raised, and the board adjourned after about twenty minutes.
